Structural Steel
The structural steel division has a long and proud record of project accomplishment in the GCC and around the globe. Our list of clients includes Saudi Aramco, Sabic petrochemicals, all the Saudi SCECO utility companies, Qatar Gas & Petroleum, Qatar Aluminium, Abu Dhabi Oil & Gas, Emirates Aluminium Co. of Bahrain and several others. Contractors like Bechtel, Fluor, Foster Wheeler, SNC Lavalin, Chiyoda, JGC, Mitsubishi, Toyo, IHI, Alstom, Technip, Snamprogetti, Hyundai, Samsung and others have expressed their satisfaction and their desire to work with us in the future.
Our in-house engineering services utilize STAAD pro software for structural analysis and design, and X-Steel and StruCAD 3-D software for detailing. The highly qualified staff is conversant with ASTM,BSS,DIN,JIS and other international standards and codes. The department has the facility for high speed electronic transmittal of drawings and designs to facilitate fast approvals and project deliveries.The fabrication is carried out at two state-of-the art factories located near Jeddah and Ras-Al-Khaimah near Dubai with a combined annual capacity of 204,000 MT. The CNC machines are linked to the engineering and planning departments for direct downloading of machining data thereby eliminating errors and saving valuable time. Careful material segregation, well documented welding procedures, renewal of welder certifications, and calibration of equipment ensures the project quality we are proud of.
AIC also undertakes responsibility for the steel erection and has the equipment, supervision and skilled manpower to erect any type of structure efficiently and safely. AIC assigns a project manager to each project to serve as the primary point of customer contact and to be directly responsible for customer satisfaction.
Tower & Galvanizing
The tower division designs and fabricates power transmission and telecom towers. Begining in 2009, AIC has added the capacity to serve global markets beyond the GCC. The list of clients includes all the GCC utility companies, Etisalat, Nokia, Siemens, Ericsson and Motorola. Major contractors operating in the region like Hyundai Engineering have testified to our superior quality and delivery.
Our tower designers utilize the "Tower" program from Power Line Systems - USA and the detailing is done using AutoCAD and X-Steel software. We are capable of designing and detailing to metric and American(inch) specifications.
AIC Tower plant is also located near Jeddah with annual capacity exceeding 72,000MT. It is equipped with high productivity CNC machines to process angles and plates. Proudly, this plant utilizes one of the largest galvanizing kettles in the region with 12.5 meter of galvanizing bath for larger components, and 8 meter bath for smaller pieces. All of our galvanizing processes are in accordance to international specifications such as ASTM A123, BS729, and ISO 1460. AIC is an active member of the ASTM International Organization and the American Galvanizers Institute.
AIC assembles a prototype tower prior to the start of mass production to ensure that the tower erection proceeds without any problems. Tower testing, if desired, is carried out at several internationally recognized test facilities in the region.
